2015 Ingle Vineyard The Chosen Spot

A rich, complex red blend with wonderful aging potential. This limited production red blend was crafted from hand-picked, sustainably farmed grapes sourced from our Ingle Vineyard estate vineyards. There are balanced tannins and notes of mulberry & tobacco. 

There are two reasons why this wine is called "The Chosen Spot". One being that the grapes are grown in our vineyards overlooking Canandaigua Lake, the legendary home of the Seneca Nation - Canandaigua means the chosen spot or chosen place. The second reason is that when John and Josephine Ingle sought to select the warmest microclimate for these tender varieties, they watched where the snow melted first on the west side of Canandaigua Lake - and that was their chosen spot.
